We have spoken about how simple carbohydrates contribute to or “feed” cancer cells. What is less emphasized, and Calli just brought this up in a case that we had worked on last year, is the proteinogenic accelerators, which is why we see much more cancer per population in cultures with high meat consumption as opposed to those with a mainly vegetarian and/or piscarian diet, where the major protein source is legumes. This is clearly seen in one of the world’s “blue zones,” Okinawa, where there is a much higher than usual percentage of healthy, functional centenarians in the population.
The worst of these for accelerating neoplastic growth is glutamine.
